Very Collectible Washington Quarters Minted 1932 to 1998
The U.S. Mint had not issued a Quarter since 1930, as the demand for Quarters was greatly diminished by the onset of the Great Depression. In 1932, as a tribute to George Washington, the first American president, a new Quarter was issued , and it has proven to be so popular. Two years later in 1934, this popular design was re-issued and the rest is history.
